I'm Emilee. I'm a Christian. Some of you may be wondering what that means. The Bible is a collection of sacred texts dating back to the creation of the world. These texts were inspired by God. The Bible is split into 2 testaments and 66 books. Christians believe in the Bible. There are also some other things we do, but we'll discuss that later. This is the basic plot of the Bible:

In the beginning, the only omniscient, all powerful God, created our universe. He made humans in his image, and allowed us to have a special relationship with him. Sadly, the first humans betrayed his perfect trust, shattering the atmosphere of holiness and joy. There was an awful punishment for this - separation from God. But God didn't give up on our sinful, imperfect race. His perfect love endured. 

Later, God chose the nation of Israel to testify to the world his glory, saving them from their enemies and even rescuing them from slavery, but they continued to turn away from him and his holy and just laws, just like the first humans did. 

We needed a more powerful rescue plan to deliver us from our sinful ways. So God, our pure, incomprehensibly great God, made one. He sent his own son, Jesus Christ, to attest to the world the true fulfillment of the Law in flesh. He never did something impure, unjust, or unholy. But Jesus suffered and died, by human hands, on a cross to pay the death penalty for all humankind's sins, to save us from judgment and the price that we deserve. 

But guess what? That's not the end of the story. God showed his power over death by raising Jesus from the dead, and Jesus is preparing a place for us in Heaven at the right hand of God. All of us Christians now have a mission. We have a mission to spread the word globally. Jesus gave us an amazing gift. All we have to do is accept it. The Bible says that soon Jesus will come back triumphantly and bring all Christians to the perfect Heaven, where we will be in the presence of God for eternity. Repent of your sins and believe before Jesus comes back, and shout out to the world that Jesus is the King of the world.
